MISSOULA, Mont. – The Missoula Police Department (MPD) is reaching out to the community for assistance following the discovery of a 38-year-old woman's body yesterday in an irrigation waterway near Grant Street and South 6th Street West, according to an official news release.
Officers and detectives responded to the scene, and the body was transported to the Montana State Crime Lab. The woman's identity has been confirmed, but her name will be released by the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office after notifying her family.
The circumstances surrounding her death are still under active investigation. Detectives are working diligently to determine the cause of death by gathering information, canvassing the area, conducting interviews, and coordinating with the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
