On a wet and wild night at Dutch Clark Stadium, the Pueblo East Eagles played host to Discovery Canyon on Thursday, Sept. 4, in a game that saw several lead changes and a near comeback.
The Eagles came out ready to run as they took their opening drive down to score early against the Thunder. Discovery Canyon answered back later in the quarter to tie the game.
East then had the lead 14-7 as they entered the third quarter. Discovery Canyon was able to make a game of it as they scored with about six minutes left in the third quarter and successfully went for two to take a 15-14 lead.
