EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The City of El Paso and the City of Sunland Park have partnered to strengthen communication and cooperation along the shared border.
The two cities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaboratively review new proposed projects within 1,000 feet of the state line, according to the news release.
Here are some of the items that the cities will be collaborating on under the MOU, as stated in the news release: • Share development proposals near the border • Provide opportunities to review and comment on traffic studies • Hold quarterly coordination meetings involving planning, engineering and traffic departments • Explore shared infrastructure investments such as streets, water and sewer systems and drainage improvements
