TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Fresh off breaking Tiger Woods’ record of youngest American to win the U.S. Amateur last month, 18-year-old Mason Howell is back in California to compete alongside nine other highly ranked American amateur golfers in the Walker Cup.

Team USA has won four straight against the Great Britain and Ireland team.

“It will be the first time I’ve really had my country’s flag on my shirt. Yeah, we’ll bring a lot of energy and a lot of passion and hopefully we can get it done,” sad Howell, on the experience. “I’m still the youngest on the team. A lot of these guys have played before.
