ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

A series of investigations by the Albuquerque Office of the Inspector General, alleging fraud and abuse within city hall, remain unreleased, leading to a conversation amongst city leaders over whether to disclose them immediately or conduct further review.

City Councilor Dan Lewis, representing Albuquerque's west side, has demanded the release of the reports.

"They're owned by the public, and they should be released to the public," Lewis told KOAT on Thursday. "Now it's an unreasonable amount of time."

Lewis sends letter to Accountability Government Oversight Committee

Lewis sent a letter to the city's Accountability Government Oversight Committee, which oversees the inspector general's office, insisting that the reports be disclosed as required by city ordinance.
