NSW Police are seeking legal action to block an "anti-corruption" protest across Sydney Harbour Bridge just weeks after a major pro-Palestine march gained global attention.

Last week, police received an application for a planned march from North Sydney to Hyde Park which would cross the world-famous Bridge.

Talks with the organisers to change the route failed.

The Commissioner of Police has now filed legal action with the Supreme Court to stop the protest, which was planned for September 13.

The application for the protest, called "Australia Unites Against Government Corruption", was received on August 27 - after the Supreme Court allowed some 90,000 pro-Palestine protesters to march across the Bridge on August 3.
