BLOOMINGTON — Kennesaw State will come into Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to push the pace.
First-year coach Jerry Mack, a former Tennessee assistant, debuted his no-huddle offense last week in a 10-9 loss to Wake Forest. The Owls had early success with Mack’s up-tempo scheme on a pair of lengthy drives early in the game.
Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti described KSU's offense moving at "warp speed" multiple time when he previewed the matchup at the start of the week. He addressed the topic again during his weekly radio show Thursday night and detailed some of the prep work that goes into countering a no-huddle offense.
"It’s hard to simulate the look with the scout team, obviously, sometimes the best way to do that is on air with the defense,” Cignetti said.
