KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A University of Tennessee women's basketball player who was arrested for aggravated burglary and domestic assault pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges Friday as part of a plea deal.
Ruby Whitehorn was charged with aggravated burglary and domestic assault. In court, Whitehorn pleaded guilty to trespassing and aggravated vandalism. Attorney Gregory P. Isaacs was able to secure a plea agreement that dropped the previous charges. Whitehorn was also granted judicial diversion, which means she will need to stay out of trouble for 11 months and nine days then, her charges will be expunged.
Whitehorn was suspended from the team indefinitely, the school confirmed. Whitehorn was arrested in early August, court records show. UT said she isn't participating in team activities.
