The Jalen Carter spitting incident was an absolutely wild way to start off the 2025 NFL season. The Philadelphia Eagles lineman sent a gob at the chest of Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and was promptly ejected six seconds into the Thursday night Week 1 game.
It led to all the Aaron Rodgers jokes and had NFL fans wondering if he'll be suspended for Week 2 due to the ejection.

But was Carter the first spitter? Turns out... maybe not? Video shows Prescott spitting at the ground as Carter approached, and the two got face-to-face, and that's when Carter responded by spitting on the quarterback.

This doesn't make Carter's spit any more justified. But maybe there's some context here as to why there was spitting in the first place.
