You may not see Congressman Chuck Fleischmann at a town hall any time soon.

Over the weekend, our partners at the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported Fleischmann, who represents Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District, which includes Hamilton, Bradley, Polk, McMinn, and Monroe Counties, says he intends to "never" host another town hall .

Rep. Fleischmann told the Times Free Press he does not want to be confronted by what he calls a "rowdy leftist mob" and that "Republican leadership" told him not to do them.

We reached out to Rep. Fleischmann's office numerous times over the last week by email and text message to ask about his statements regarding town halls.

He did not respond to any of the requests from Local 3 News for a statement or comments.
