SPOKANE, Wash. — Firefighters were called to Avista Stadium early Friday morning due to a large fire in the main concession stand.
The fire broke out early Friday morning, and a KREM 2 News crew on the scene saw one of the walls of a building in front of the stadium collapse in the flames. There is currently no known cause of the fire.
Senior Vice President of the Spokane Indians Otto Klein said the fire is isolated to the main concession stand. There are no injuries reported from the fire. There is currently no known cause of the fire.
Klein said the main concession building that's on fire isn't connected to any other building on the property.
With the stand being a complete loss, Klein said they hope to have it rebuilt before the start of next season.
