The pilot of a small aircraft was killed when the plane crashed in Fryeburg, Maine, on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Ground crews and search teams located the aircraft's sole occupant, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The person's identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
