GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said a traffic stop led to a notable fentanyl bust.
Deputies conducted the stop near Gallon Street in Greenville.
They reported found 28.4 grams of fentanyl and 3 grams of cocaine in the possession of two people.
Jerome Garrett was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl. Ray McGowan was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, 2 milligrams of fentanyl is enough to kill an average American. The amount seized during the traffic stop would be enough to kill 14,000.
