A woman has opened up about her ordeal at the hands of notorious Tinder Swindler Christopher Harkins.

Last year, Harkins was convicted of 19 offences committed between 2013 and 2019, including rape, assault, threatening and abusive behaviour, and charges of defrauding nine women out of more than £214,000. He is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence.

He preyed upon women in Edinburgh, as well as Glasgow, Airdrie, Cumbernauld, Dumbarton, East Kilbride, Paisley and Stirling.

One of his many victims was 40-year-old recruitment manager Shannon McKechnie from Glasgow who was left impressed by his online Tinder profile in 2019 which showed a good looking man appearing to lead a luxury lifestyle.
