(NewsNation) — Robert Irwin has given an update on his sister Bindi Irwin’s health nearly a month after she revealed she had endometriosis.
“She’s doing good,” Robert told E! News on Wednesday. “It's an ongoing battle. Endometriosis is one of these things where it's not a quick fix.”
Bindi, who revealed she had endometriosis two years ago, has undergone two major surgeries to remove her appendix and 51 lesions.
Robert and Bindi Irwin are the children of the late conservationist Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin.
In an August 13 Instagram post, Bindi said, she is “beginning to recognize myself again” following the procedures.
“13 years of fighting for answers. 51 endometriosis lesions, a chocolate cyst and all my appendix were removed across two surgeries with (Seckin Endometriosis Center).
