BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) announced more layoffs on Friday morning, cutting nearly 100 people along with dozens of vacant positions due to rising insurance costs.
Dayla Qualls White, senior vice president and chief communications officer for BCBST, said in a statement that around 95 employees learned on Friday that they are being laid off and their positions are being eliminated.

They said the changes will take effect in phases between this September and early 2026.
White said around 28 vacant positions that are no longer essential to supporting operations are also being eliminated.
"These were difficult decisions to make because we understand the personal impact,” White said in the statem
