BERWICK, Maine — A Berwick man died and his passenger was injured Thursday evening when their ATV rolled on a trail near Hall Road, officials said.

The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. when 31-year-old Tyler Anderson was driving a Polaris RZR 900 with a passenger, according to the Maine Warden Service. The ATV veered off the trail, struck an embankment and rolled.

Anderson suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown by DHART helicopter to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, where he died shortly after arrival, according to officials.

The passenger, identified as 33-year-old Keri Roche, suffered injuries to the face that were not considered life-threatening, officials said.
