Kyron Hudson and Trebor Pena made impressive Beaver Stadium debuts last week against Nevada, connecting quickly with Drew Allar.

Now it might be Devonte Ross’ turn.

After catching just one pass against the Wolf Pack, Ross might play a larger role for second-ranked Penn State (1-0) against FIU (1-0) Saturday at noon (TV-BTN) in Happy Valley.

“We would like to get Ross a little bit more involved,” Nittany Lions coach James Franklin said. “He had missed some time this summer (with an injury), but we’d like to get him involved.”

One of Penn State’s top priorities going into the season was incorporating Hudson, Pena and Ross, its three transfer wide receivers, into the offense before the Big Ten opener Sept. 27 against Oregon.
