JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County announced The Patriots Olympic & Patriots Sprint Triathlons will impact county parks and roadways this weekend.

According to the county, Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7, motorists may encounter delays on the following roadways:

Jamestown Road

Greensprings Road

Route 5 (John Tyler Highway)

Motorists are asked to use caution, follow traffic signs and watch for pedestrians and event participants.

Several county parks and trails will be impacted by the event, the county said. The cycling, running and swimming events will be held at Jamestown Beach Event Park, along Greensprings Interpretive Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail and the Virginia Capital Trail from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
