PAPILLION, Neb. —
The Nebraska Supreme Court reversed the dismissal of a lawsuit from Ryan Larsen's mother against Papillion La Vista Community Schools.
Larsen went missing more than four years ago after walking out of La Vista West Elementary.
Previous coverage:
Tammi Larsen, Ryan's mother, filed the lawsuit seeking financial damages for the school's negligence and emotional distress.
In 2024, a district court judge dismissed the case and said it lacked jurisdiction and authority to grant the requested damages.
The Supreme Court reversed that decision and remanded the case for further proceedings, according to court documents.
