WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT

A homicide investigation has been launched into the deaths of a mother and her two young daughters found in a septic tank.

The victim’s husband raised the alarm over his missing family on Sunday evening at about 10pm.

He told police that there were “disturbing signs in the area of the septic tank” in Polish town Helenów Pierwszy and that “his wife and two daughters had disappeared”.

After he filed the missing persons report, two passers-by made a grim discovery.

One man, and another unidentified bystander, pulled the 32-year-old mum and one of the children out of the tank before emergency services arrived.

Firefighters then pulled out the second child before the mum was pronounced dead at the scene.
