WEST VALLEY, Utah (ABC4) — At approximately 7:30 a.m. West Valley Police responded to a critical injury motorcycle crash.

Witnesses reported a motorcycle rider was splitting lanes and speeding. Officials said he cut into into one of the lanes and ran into the back of a car.

The accident occurred around 5600 West and 5000 South and the motorcyclist was traveling southbound.

The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He is currently receiving treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The man's identity has not been released.
