Sammy Kershaw, whose music was a staple of the country genre in the 1990s, will bring his repertoire of hits to New England’s oldest fair next month.

The celebrated artist will play on the Grandstand stage at the Topsfield Fair on Thursday, Oct. 9. Kershaw’s concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and is free with paid fair admission.

“We always get requests from attendees for great country artists to perform at the Fair, and I certainly think they will be very happy to see Sammy Kershaw perform live,” General Manager James O’Brien said in a press release.
