SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Megan Boswell, the Sullivan County woman convicted earlier this year of killing her 1-year-old daughter , was sentenced Friday to an additional 33 years in prison on non-murder charges.

The new sentence will run consecutively to the life term a jury handed down in February after finding Boswell guilty of murdering her daughter, Evelyn Boswell.

Boswell, 22, will serve her time at a rehabilitation center in Nashville, according to court officials.

The case drew national attention in February 2020 when investigators launched a weeks long Amber Alert for the toddler. Evelyn’s remains were later found in a trash can on family property.

After five years of investigation and a week of testimony, Boswell was convicted on all 19 charges against her.
