TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Family and friends of Dan Markel woke up to a new reality today: Donna Adelson is the fifth person convicted in the conspiracy to kill Markel.

The trial was a spectacle chock full of spectators most days, and just outside, prognosticators from across the country.

But at the center of of all of this is Dan Markel and the people who loved him.

“The most real person involved in this is Danny Markel who was a brilliant attorney, a brilliant professor, a funny guy, someone that I had gotten to know over the years because of our relationship and the time we spend together,” Jared Ross, a friend of Dan Markel said.
