BLAIR, Neb. —

Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch kicked off its season Friday morning. The park has several new attractions opening this year.

The Mad Cow Ride is a tractor-drawn ride that both adults and children can enjoy. This addition had been planned for this year, but other attractions came out of necessity.

This summer's storms destroyed parts of the park, leaving Maria Bledsoe and her family to pick up the pieces.

"This pumpkin house right behind us was one of our ticket booths that we refurbished, so we're actually proud of that," Bledsoe, co-owner of Skinny Bones, said. "All three ticket booths were demolished, so we've been busy just cleaning up the property and that, but we're resilient, we're determined and it looks beautiful."
