Former FOX29 "Good Day Philadelphia" anchor Sheinelle Jones made an emotional return to her job as co-host of NBC's “ TODAY Show ” on Friday after a months-long hiatus.
Before co-hosting her usual third hour of the NBC morning news and features program, she earlier sat down Sept. 5 with 'TODAY' anchor Savannah Guthrie to share her dealings with the death of her husband Uche Ojeh , who died in May from brain cancer.
"It's a beautiful nightmare," Jones said of the tragedy , also telling her friend and colleague Guthrie that "my heart is shattered in a million pieces" and his loss "sucks." Jones appeared live in studio after the interview aired to further talk of her husband's illness and passing.
