A director of the Penticton Elvis Society has left the building, and then disparaged the organization and kept her passwords secret.
That’s according to a lawsuit filed by the Society against former director Stephanie Anne Mackenzie.
The Society claims Mackenzie changed the passwords to the festival’s email and social media accounts, using her phone number as the recovery contact, and was the only person with access.
The Festival’s original Facebook page has more than 2,300 followers as of June 2024.
“Since July 2024, Ms. Mackenzie has ignored the Plaintiff’s requests and refused to provide passwords and access to the (Penticton Elvis Society)’s emails and social media accounts,” according to the lawsuit.
