The 2025 Formula 1 season rolls on, with the Italian Grand Prix presenting an opportunity for Lando Norris to mount a championship fightback after his retirement in Zaandvort saw him slip 34 points behind McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in the race for the title.

The British driver struggled during the first practice in Monza but was back to his best in the afternoon as he topped a tight second practice. Norris was 0.083 seconds ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in second place, while Carlos Sainz showed plenty of place in his Williams as he took third.
