LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Zoo will be closed this coming Saturday on Sept. 6 due to the Arkansas vs. Arkansas State football game at War Memorial Stadium.

The zoo put out the following statement on Friday reminding animal lovers about the special closure this Saturday.

"Zoo fans, we will be closed this Saturday, September 6 for the Razorback Game at War Memorial Stadium. We will be open at regular business hours on Sunday, September 7," the Little Rock Zoo said in an online statement.

The highly anticipated game between the Razorbacks and the Red Wolves is a just away now. The zoo's closure comes as thousands of fans are expected to arrive in the area for the football game.
