PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 17-year-old was arrested outside Heritage High School in Vancouver after multiple reports of gunfire and someone screaming for help, officials said.
According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the school just after midnight Friday morning.
While investigating the scene, deputies said they heard more gunshots coming from the north and east of the school, and a suspect was seen fleeing across the baseball fields.
The suspect was able to get out of sight, and deputies - along with the Vancouver Police Department and Washington State Patrol - contained the area, bringing in three drones and two K9 teams.
