HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- The Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office has identified the teenager killed in Thursday's shooting in Evansville.

The coroner says Jayvion'tae Cox, 14, died at the scene after being shot at his home on Cherry Street. The autopsy results are pending.

Officers believe Cox was shot by accident. Police say he was shot by another juvenile who thought the gun was not loaded.

Officers say the juvenile was charged with reckless homicide and dangerous possession of a firearm.

Police are still investigating.
