Get in his face. Harass his shot. Break up his passes.

“They’re not going to score as much as they usually do or they’re to turn (over) the ball more than they usually do,” the 17-year-old guard from Chatham said. “I’m going to have some type of effect on their game that helps our team win.

“It doesn’t really matter the position or the size difference because I know and my coaches know that I’m a great defender. I take pride in my defence.”

Roberts won a silver medal with Team Ontario at the Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, N.L., in August.

When he took the court, he didn’t need instructions from coaches.
