Former Vice President Kamala Harris is now under the protection of the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol after President Donald Trump revoked her Secret Service detail , per CBS News .

Last week, Trump issued an executive memorandum ordering Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to rescind Harris’ extended Secret Service protection, which had been granted by former President Joe Biden in January. Biden’s directive had extended Harris’ protection for 18 months post-office due to a “heightened threat environment.”
