DETROIT – “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is hitting the road and the Motor City is the destination.
NBC announced Friday that the Emmy-winning late-night talk show is coming to Detroit for the first time for a special episode filmed at the historic Detroit Opera House on Sept. 14.
The one-time filming will bring Fallon’s signature mix of comedy, music and all-star guests to the heart of Michigan’s most iconic city.
The episode will air on NBC the following night, Sept. 15, and the next day on Peacock. The special Detroit episode will air ahead of the previously announced post- “Sunday Night Football” editions of “The Tonight Show,” kicking off on Sept. 21.
