SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Louisiana National Guard (LANG) is deploying certain soldiers and airmen to support ICE in several cities across the state.
The announcement was made Friday, Sept. 5. Officials with LANG say the deployment started Aug. 25.
LANG says the soldiers and airmen are in a Title 32 status, meaning they are still under the control of Governor Jeff Landry and Major General Thomas Friloux.
Around 95 LANG personnel have been ordered to support ICE by doing administrative, clerical, and logistical tasks.
