SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said a body was found under a bridge just east of downtown Friday morning.

According to SAPD, officers were dispatched to the intersection of IH-35 North and North New Braunfels Avenue just before 11 a.m. for reports of a body located under the bridge.

Upon arrival, police said officers located the caller who claimed he found his friend, a 56-year-old male, possibly deceased.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials. Investigators say there appears to be no signs of foul play at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
