A 12-year-old boy from Alberta has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his younger brother.
Lethbridge police were called to a home in the north end of the city around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 after getting reports that a child had been stabbed.
According to police, a father called 911 after coming home and finding his seven-year-old son with injuries. The injured boy’s 12-year-old brother told his dad that a stranger had come into the house and stabbed the young boy before running away.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later airlifted to the Edmonton Children’s Hospital and remains there in stable condition.
