ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) -- A now-former Robeson County Detention Center officer is among eight people who have been charged so far in a drug investigation that began last month after jail staff members found an inmate with illegal narcotics, deputies said.

Landon Strickland, 22, of Lumberton, was among seven people arrested on Thursday, deputies said. He was charged with felony Conspiracy and continuing criminal enterprise and given a $550,000 secured bond.

The others arrested on Thursday face the same charges and are also being held on $550,000 secured bonds. They are: • Dylan Sirman, 23, of Lumberton; he was also charged on Aug. 22 with felony possession of a controlled substance in a jail and given a $50,000 secured bond • Jamie Sirmans, 64, of Lumberton • Joshua Sirmans, 45
