Lone Tree police are investigating a woman’s death as a homicide after her body was found during a welfare check on Thursday.

Officers were called to 10400 Park Meadows Drive at 11:55 a.m. and found a 57-year-old woman who was dead. The address matches Aspect Apartments, but police declined to confirm if that’s where the woman was found.

The results of the woman’s autopsy are pending and police cannot release additional information about the case, spokesperson Melissa Gallegos said. Department officials said there is “no known danger to the public.”
