At least one person is dead after a small plane crash near Centennial Airport this morning, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Ryan Falkner, an on-call spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said the office was beginning the investigation and didn’t know any more details, including how many people died.

South Metro Fire Rescue first posted about the incident on social media, writing that responders contained a small fire that was threatening a structure and a large generator.

This is a developing story that will be updated.
