LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Prosecutors are asking for additional evidence in the case against a Breathitt County mother and stepfather accused of killing a 10-year-old boy.
Felicia and Joshua Gross appeared before a judge Friday on Zoom. The pair are accused of killing Felicia's son, Jayden Spicer.
He was missing for a week back in August before he was found buried in a shallow grave in Jackson, Kentucky.
Prosecutors had to petition the court to get access to school and medical records for Jayden.
Felicia is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
Gross is charged with complicity to murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
The are both being held in the Perry County Jail.
Both are due back in court Nov. 7.
