DILLEY, Texas — The Dilley independent School District has announced that Friday night's game against Comfort has been relocated due to a "swarm of bees" on or near the field.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Gosch Field before the district said a "swarm of bees" on or near the field forced them to move the game to Pearsall Stadium.

"For the safety of our student-athletes, coaches, officials and spectators, the decision was made out of an abundance of caution," the district said in a statement released to families. "Emergency procedures are being followed, and professional pest control has been contacted to safely remove the bees from the premises."
