CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A group of North College Hill parents is taking a proactive approach to keeping their kids safe as they leave school after a fight involving several students occurred last month.
They are calling themselves “neighborhood ambassadors,” and their goal is to show North College Hill students that they are here to support them and to keep them safe.
When the dismissal bell rang on Friday and students began filing out of North College Hill High School, they were greeted by adults who came to ensure their safety.
“I’m trying to step in the gap for those who can’t be out here to greet the students, to help them across the street,” Mashalah Alexander said.
Alexander is an NCH school parent and a member of the city council.
