LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- About an hour from Las Vegas, late-night storms in Moapa Valley brought floods to the area, closing some roads and causing a flash flood warning for the early morning hours.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning shortly before 3 a.m. for areas in northeastern Clark County after radar showed thunderstorms producing heavy rain up to 1.5 inches.

The warning was issued for Overton, Moapa Town, Moapa Valley, Valley of Fire, Echo Bay Campground, Echo Bay, Overton Beach, and Logandale. The warning lasted until 4:30 a.m.
