LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- On Wednesday, the Clark County School District Police Department arrested a student after a gun was found at a Las Vegas middle school.

There were no threats made to students or staff, according to an email sent to Brown Junior High School families on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

In the email sent from Principal Jason Kathan, it said that a gun was recovered and CCSD police arrested the student without incident. The email did not give any additional information.

"As always, we want to keep you informed of important matters happening within our school community," the email read.

This incident happened on the same day that a gun was found at another CCSD school, Basic Academy. A student was arrested in that incident as well.
