LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraska volleyball hosts Wright State Friday night at the Bob Devaney Center, and one Raider knows the Husker program better than most, since she grew up a fan.
Senior setter Andrea Bortulin spent nine years in Plymouth, Nebraska, attending countless Husker matches before her family moved to Wisconsin. Now, she’s returning to Devaney not as a fan, but as an opponent.
“I think it’s something every young volleyball player dreams of—regardless if you’re a Nebraska fan or not—playing on a big stage like this,” Bortulin said. “It’s even more special because of my background growing up here.”
Her parents, John and Sarah, said the homecoming will be just as meaningful for them.
