Giant Eagle is resurrecting shuttered Rite Aid locations as standalone Giant Eagle pharmacies across the region.

Next on the list of revivals are now-closed Rite Aids in Mount Washington and Sewickley. Those two follow the first transformations of Rite Aid locations in Hollidaysburg, Pa., and Cambridge, Ohio.

“The initial customer response to our recently opened standalone Giant Eagle Pharmacy locations in Hollidaysburg, PA and Cambridge, OH has been encouraging,” the company said in an email on Friday, “and we are actively considering the potential to expand our standalone Giant Eagle Pharmacy business.”

Since Rite Aid declared bankruptcy in May, more than 900 of its locations have closed nationwide.
