AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Junior Achievement Discovery Center is welcoming students, allowing them the opportunity for real-world experience in finance.

They opened in January 2024, serving middle school students, and now they’ve expanded to include 11th and 12th graders.

The JA Discovery Center is Finding Solutions in preparing students for life after school.

Students learn in the classroom and then come to the center, where they work in about 18 storefronts that resemble local, national and statewide employers.

Aiken’s Makin’ draws hundreds of artisans, vendors downtown

Downtown Aiken is hosting the annual Aiken’s Makin’ arts and crafts show Friday and Saturday.
