RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A vehicle pursuit that began in Johnston County Friday afternoon ended in a three-vehicle crash in Wake County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The chase started when deputies from the Johnston County Sheriff's Office began "pursuing an allegedly armed offender," Sgt. Marcus Bethea from the NCSHP told CBS 17.

It eventually crossed into Wake County, and the highway patrol was notified about it around 3:37 p.m. Within 10 minutes of that, Bethea said, the suspect car — a Nissan Rogue — crashed at Jones Sausage Road and Auburn Church Road.

In addition to the Nissan SUV, another SUV and a commercial semi-truck were involved in the crash. Two people — the suspect and the driver of the other SUV — are being treated for minor injuries, Bethea said. T
